Heather and Pat wed at The Lakehouse Hotel and Resort in San Marcos on September 2, 2017 and it was a wild fun and oh so overdue wedding day! All their friends and family felt like one joined group already, the speeches were intensely emotional, so many loved ones helped with DIY decor and the level of excitement from the whole wedding was just brimming! 

Their story started over 20 years ago, when they first fell in love and had their son Alex. After years apart, Heather and Pat reconnected, fell back in love, and are finally(!) exchanging vows and officially sharing their life together with their children. 

I feel so honored to be able to document a love story like theirs- this marriage is true and so real! I can see it in the way he held her dress at they walked, the look in their eyes during their first dance and in the love Heather poured into making the day meaningful. And they had their ceremony and reception at  one of the best venues! The St. Marks Golf Club was so easy for guests to navigate, they had amazing food and lent out golf carts for romantic photos around The Lakehouse property, so as you can imagine I was in heaven! 

At the beginning of the day, Heather and her girls got ready in one of the cottages; her dress was beautiful and the light in the space was absolutely glowing. After heading to the Decoy restaurant patio for pictures with the ladies, it was time for Pat and his guys to show the camera some love! We had some fun near the ceremony space and a quick first look for Alex and Heather before the walk down the aisle. It was so neat to have their kids play such important roles in their wedding day!

Before I knew it, cocktail hour was upon us, their first dance and the beautiful toasts- Heather’s sister Lori was so emotional she could barely talk, her bestie Dana brought all the kids up during her speech, and Pat’s brother Chris shared such heartfelt words. A bouquet toss, elaborate garter toss, cake cutting and dancing rounded off the night. I couldn’t be happier for these two and their families!!!
